MVHS LIA Awards Night
On Tuesday, May 23rd, MVHS Latinos in Action held their first annual LIA Award Night to recognize the hard work of their students. Each of the LIA classes, led by Mr. Rivera, Mr. Serrano, Mr. Flores, and Mr. Sixto presented their accomplishments in fundraising, community service, and tutoring. The LIA Class of 2023 was also recognized and awarded with LIA Cords and Senior Certificates.

Shout Outs
- Taite Kirkpatrick and Avalon Stewart, two students who attended the League of Women Voters event last Monday, were approached by Brier Dudley, a reporter from the Seattle Times. Dudley requested permission to publish their work, and now both have received their first by-line in a newspaper! Check out the link here to read their article.

Noche de premios MVHS LIA
El martes 23 de mayo, Latinos en Acción de MVHS celebró su primera Noche de Premios LIA anual para reconocer el arduo trabajo de sus estudiantes. Cada una de las clases de LIA, dirigidas por el Sr. Rivera, el Sr. Serrano, el Sr. Flores y el Sr. Sixto, presentaron sus logros en recaudación de fondos, servicio comunitario y tutoría. La clase LIA de 2023 también fue reconocida y galardonada con LIA Cords y Senior Certificates.
